Opening the energy gates of the body : Part 2

Opening the energy gates of the body is a set of chi gung exercises that form the foundation of all other chi gung practices, tai chi and other Taoist internal martial arts and Taoist meditation. It is especially useful for tai chi practitioners as it speeds the process of learning the forms and minimises the need for constant correction. If your tai chi has become stale, this is just what you need!

Part 2: The 3 Swings & the Spine Stretch
The three swings are designed to train the body in the correct postural alignments during movement and to stimulate and exercise the three areas of the body; lower, middle and upper. For tai chi students this set should be learned thoroughly as it will speed up access to the deeper aspects of the tai chi form. It is also an excellent training supplement for sports persons or as an exercise system on it's own.
The spine stretch, a unique Taoist practice not found in other martial arts or body practices, teaches you to control the movements of your spinal vertebrae and help relieve spinal tension and pain.

This workshop will be useful to beginners and long term practitioners alike.
